Keystone Webinar Recording Available

If your library is considering applying for a Keystone Grant for Public Library Facilities in 2019, and you were unable to attend an in-person or webinar workshop offered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, you can view a recording of the February 5 webinar!

In the recording, Ed Lupico, Keystone Advisor at the Bureau of Library Development, discusses the Keystone program and all parts of the application.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE) Office of Commonwealth Libraries administers this competitive grant program funded by state money. Reimbursable grants, which pay for up to 50% of eligible project costs, are awarded competitively to improve the physical facilities of state-aided public libraries. Grants may be requested up to $750,000, and there is no minimum request amount. Awards will be guided by grant award criteria, the applicant’s needs assessment, and funding priorities. The application must be submitted by a municipality which supports, and is served by, the project library.

The grant cycle is now open. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than April 26, 2019. Awarded contracts are expected to begin October 1, 2019. Access the application and other related materials on the Keystone page via the State Library website.
