Beginning August 2022, the State Library of Pennsylvania will be open the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM – 4 PM.

Please use an online form if you are requesting research materials from the Forum Building. If you would like to browse the shelves, pick up and return items or make copies, please stop in:  no appointment is necessary.

The State Library is located on the atrium level of the Keystone Building while the Forum building is undergoing renovations.  The State Library of Pennsylvania reading room hours are:

Tuesday 10 AM – 4 PM

Wednesday 10 AM – 8 PM

Thursday 10 AM – 4 PM

The State Library is open for virtual reference and online services Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
