Statewide Library Service Grant Information Session | STAGING Compendium

In May 2023, the Office of Commonwealth Libraries (OCL) will begin accepting applications for Statewide Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants. There is no dollar threshold; however, awards will be granted to the proposals that are the most competitive and directly align with the goals and outcomes outlined in Pennsylvania’s LSTA Five-Year Plan. To help applicants prepare, OCL is hosting a Statewide Library Service Grant Information Session.

Interested organizations must register to attend. The session will be useful for anyone involved in planning, applying for, and administering a LSTA-funded grant for statewide services.

The session will be offered via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:30AM-12PM. For those unable to attend, the recording will be posted on the PA Library Staff Academy. Please share this registration information with any project collaborators.

The session is scheduled for an hour and a half, but the presentation will be shorter with time for Q&A at the end. The session will cover the following:

    • Program Terms and Categories
    • Eligibility
    • Federal Requirements
    • How to Apply and Awards
    • Self-Empowerment

Questions about this information session or Pennsylvania’s LSTA program may be sent to ra-edbldadmin@pa.gov.
