Here’s what is planned for the day:
Opening Presentation: We Together: What Does it Take—Really?
Anne Gingerich, Executive Director of PANO (Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations) will kick off the day by facilitation conversation around what collaboration really means on a day-to-day basis, starting with an overview and including conversations around the importance of trust and how to engage in various phases of the collaboration cycle.
The Art of Inspired (Self)-Leadership
It’s all about relationships! And this statement is never more true than for paid or volunteers leaders of nonprofit organizations. Michael Kumer’s “brain tsunami” will give participants leadership tools, tips and techniques to use in building relationships with board members, staff, donors, patrons and other community stakeholders. Conversations will focus on “elements of extraordinary leadership” such as:
- Lead yourself before leading others
- What is Mindfulness
- The journey IS the destination
- Spotting opportunities in every challenge
- A new definition of success
- Attitude is everything
- Changing the world as you change yourself.
Breakfast and lunch is provided, with time during the lunch break to view the exhibit, ‘Local Poverty: Up Close and Personal’ provided by the Seneca Library District. An exhibit of photographs and narratives by Pennsylvania residents who live in poverty, this project is a collaborative effort between the Warren Library Association, St. Marys Library, as well as agencies in both Warren and Elk counties.
This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.
