Interested in Hosting “Engage for Life?” | STAGING Compendium

Is your library interested in offering the ‘Engage for Health’ program to your community? Are you near Dauphin County? Well then come on down to Hershey Public Library on Thursday, November 17, 2016 @ 6:30 pm. The Hershey Public Library will be hosting ‘Engage for Health’ featuring Dr. Dwight Davis from Penn State Hershey Medical Center. What better way to learn about the program, than to be an attendee and see it firsthand.

The original ‘Engage for Health’ project, provided by the Pennsylvania Library Association and NN/LM MAR, was quite successful. As a result, NN/LM MAR was approached by HAP to further this initiative and share with a larger community the principles of ‘Engage for Health’, focusing on effective communication between doctors and patients, being prepared for appointments, asking the right questions and getting accurate information leading to wise healthcare decisions.

The program will be filmed by a professional production company for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region (NN/LM MAR) and the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP). The film will be broadcast on the Harrisburg Area television program called Sunday Fusion, and will also be archived for use by libraries across PA.

Refreshments will be served.

To register, please call the library at 533-6555, or online at the Event Calendar.
