June 24th is the date for the first ever Philly Maker Faire! To make this event a success, we need makers of all kinds to showcase their work.
Maker Faires showcase the amazing work of all kind and ages of makers. We would love to showcase the work you are doing at your library and/or the work your library makers are creating at the Faire. We will be filling Pennovation inside & out with makers from across the Philadelphia region and would love library makerspaces, librarian makers and your fabulous community makers to be a part of the fun!
Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired!
