BBC micro:bits for Library Programming and Checkout | STAGING Compendium

The Abington Township Public Library will offer Code Quest with BBC microbits on Wednesday, July 18 & Friday, August 10, from 2:00-3:30pm.

Tweens & teens, ages 10-14, will learn coding and electronics using a tiny programmable computer called a BBC micro:bit. Developed by the BBC in the UK, the library will utilize micro:bits and accessories to teach 21st-century skills such as coding electronic devices, problem solving, and design thinking through projects.

In addition to using micro:bits in library programming, these kits will soon be available for checkout so patrons can continue to learn and tinker at home.
