Bureau of Library Development – Staff Update | STAGING Compendium

Good afternoon, colleagues.

I am pleased to share the news that Abbey Lukiewski will be joining the Administration and Data Team in the Bureau of Library Development (BLD) as the Statewide Services Advisor.  While details are still being finalized, I expect her first day to be Tuesday, June 20th, 2023.

Abbey is a professional librarian with 11 years of experience. She began working in the microfilm department at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and then worked for the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians (LAMP) in various roles.

Her most recent role was as a District Consultant for York County Libraries. She built relationships, handled questions and concerns from local libraries, and supported streamlining and implementation of new projects. Being able to bring the variety of experiences and support to libraries is what drew her to this role.

In non-work life, Abbey enjoys traveling (always visiting the libraries wherever she goes), crocheting, and completing puzzles (preferably less than 1000 pieces).

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Abbey!
