The grant provides libraries with all the resources for getting a Mixed Reality program up and running, including:

    • Two Windows Mixed Reality headsets and two computers to operate them
    • Technical training of staff and administration
    • Assistance with marketing resources and program scheduling
    • Email support to answer any questions going forward
    • Access to other grantees
    • Updates about new content rollouts

Twenty public and school libraries across the U.S. were selected.

Millvale Community Library Director, Susan McClellan, said she had a wonderful visit from the Microsoft representative who delivered the equipment.  “It was fascinating,” McClellan said.  “We have downloaded 13 apps so far.  The staff and I plan to practice with the software before we can use it with others. The apps are for ages 10 and up.”  She added that she took a tour of Rome with the equipment.
