New PaLAunchpod Episode with Guest Marilyn Holt | STAGING Compendium

In this episode, host Tom Berman talks with Library Services Manager of the Pennsylvania Department of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and president of the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society, Marilyn Holt about the history and growth of her department.

Holt describes the many changes that have occurred in genealogical research and resources during her thirty-five-year tenure in the Department, and gives listeners insight into the wide variety of tasks for which she and her librarian and archivist colleagues are responsible on a daily basis. Additionally, Holt offers advice for smaller libraries about how they can best serve the genealogical needs of their patrons.
