On Sunday, August 12, 2018, Northland Public Library celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
Several hundred patrons gathered for a day of children’s crafts, illustrated storytelling, food trucks and a performance by the band Meeting of Important People. Also notable were the resolutions, made by all five supporting municipalities, (Borough of Bradford Woods, Franklin Park Borough, Marshall Township, Ross Township and the Town of McCandless), that honored Northland Library on this accomplishment. Officials from Allegheny County and the State also presented the Library with proclamations about the milestone.
The Library also completed a mural inside the library to commemorate 50 years of Encouraging Lifelong Learning and Discovery.
