You are invited to a special exhibit in the Rare Collections Reading Room of the State Library.

The State Library will host special guest scholar and Julliard musicologist Christopher Herbert, who has studied the mystical hymnody of the Ephrata Cloister. He will present a program in the Green Room at 12:00 noon, and the Rare Collections room will be open from 12:30 to 2:00 pm so you can chat with the presenter and see the collection.

Come learn about Pennsylvania’s religious communities at Ephrata, Old Economy and Bethlehem, and see some stunning examples of fraktur, music and religious texts from the State Library’s Rare Collections!
