Responses Needed: Statewide Gathering Interest Survey | STAGING Compendium

As you may have seen in the Bureau of Library Development Updates – January 2024 article, BLD is planning to host an in-person OCL Statewide Gathering* in the fall of 2024. The intent of the Statewide Gathering is multi-purpose. Members of the library field will be able to meet BLD staff, attend professional development and learning sessions, and have the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the state.

In order to ensure that we are designing an event that works for as many Pennsylvania library staff as possible, we are asking those who may be interested in attending to respond to this survey by 11:59 pm on February 29th. The feedback you provide will help us to develop and plan a Statewide Gathering that best meets your needs. Future announcements regarding dates, times, and locations will be shared via the Compendium.

Please feel free to reach out to Abbey Lukiewski or Julie Moore.

*  In order to better reflect the goals of this event and to avoid confusion with other library related activities across the state, we’ve changed the name to OCL Statewide Gathering.

The Bureau of Library Development (BLD) in the Office of Commonwealth Libraries supports libraries and library services for Pennsylvanians through the administration of state and federally funded programs and grant opportunities including LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), Library Access, LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians), the Public Library Subsidy, and Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities. BLD also provides advisory services, professional development, and continuing education for library staff and volunteer leadership at public, school, academic, and special libraries.

The Compendium is BLD’s primary communication channel. If you don’t already subscribe, please do so to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information.
