Sewing with Ms Nancy is a program that has been offered for the past five years at the Honey Brook Community Library.
Nancy Conner, who is the Assistant Director, teaches kids and adults ages 12 & up to sew. She helps them choose patterns, materials, and teaches them how to thread and care for sewing machines, how to iron the fabric before sewing, and how to use an electric sewing machine. Six sewing machines have been donated. Conner also provides instruction on how to use and maintain your own sewing machine.
The program is run year round on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8 pm. The small, rural library is located on the western edge of Chester County, near the Lancaster County border.
