Grow with Google will take place on January 30th. Google is visiting libraries across the nation to share programs and information suitable for community leaders, new or small business owners or job seekers. Martin Library is one of three libraries in Pennsylvania to be given this opportunity. To register or for more information go to g.co/GrowPennsylvania.
Martin Library will be hosting February’s First Friday Latino. As part of Black History Month, First Friday Latino will celebrate Afro-Latinx heritage and feature Afro-Latinx authors, live music and food. The York NAACP is collaborating with Latino Unidos to present this event Everyone in our community is welcome to attend. Food will be provided by April Collier of Cornbread West. Martin Library will also be offering free Spanish language materials to our guests. It is time to make room for more items on our shelves and meet the changing needs of our community.
On February 3rd, Martin Library is hosting a Sunday afternoon concert presented by Vanda Guzman. Vonda is an incredible talent. The program is titled “Music with a Twist.” And will begin at 2pm in the Quiet Reading Room. This is a family event and is free and open to the public.
