Trustee Workshop: Sustainability Assessment and Planning | STAGING Compendium

The North Central Library District’s Trustee Training focuses on acquiring the knowledge and tools to sustain library service for future generations. To that end, Kate Gallagher with coLAB will provide a way for libraries to assess their current organizational capacity and to develop sustainability plans in order to make strategic decisions.

coLAB is a collaborative consulting firm based in Lancaster that helps organizations succeed through sustainability planning, strategic planning, project planning, and more.

This is a three step process:

  1.  Attend a 20 to 30 minute webinar being offered on May 21 at 2PM OR May 22 at 10AM and learn how to use the online sustainability assessment tool.
  2. Then take the assessment by May 31st. coLAB will generate a report for all participants.
  3. On July 17, attend the Trustee Workshop at the James V Brown Library in Williamsport. Trustees will use their self-assessment report to identify areas of opportunity and develop a sustainability plan.

Registration information for the Trustee Workshop will be made available in early June.

Contact June Houghtaling (jhoughtaling@jvbrown.edu) for information on how to access the webinars or for more information about the training.
